Marbles On Stream

As a rule, streaming is a "one-sided game". The gamer goes through any project, moving along the storyline or single missions, and the audience just looks at it and in rare cases gives comments - try to do this, this, and what is around the corner?

There are also attempts to make streaming more interactive. For example, in The Jackbox Party Pack quizzes, viewers vote for a funny or interesting answer to questions asked by the game. In Twitch Plays, anyone watching a stream can control a character or events.

Marbles on Stream is another attempt at making streaming more interactive. This small multiplayer game is deeply integrated with Twitch, so everyone can join the gameplay and take part in a race of funny balls along three-dimensional winding tracks. Best of all, Marbles on Stream is also completely free, even without in-app purchases or real-money DLC.

I love, you know, rolling balls in the evenings

Marbles on Stream is a small multiplayer project with the most simple gameplay. This is an arcade racing game, but instead of cars, colorful balls with different textures roll along the tracks. The tracks you need to ride are in full 3D and offer a wide variety of obstacles - cliffs, obstacles, jumps and so on.

Marbles on Stream is focused on maximum multiplayer gameplay. The most pleasure can be obtained when there are several dozen or even hundreds of players on the map at the same time. At the same time, the visual becomes as colorful as possible, and the "races" - bright and exciting.

However, no one bothers to ride in splendid isolation. In this mode, the game begins to resemble Marbles or Ballance puzzles. Only more dynamic. And, again, you should definitely activate the integration with Twitch in order to automatically enable streaming and allow other viewers to connect.

Rolling balloons with strangers in Marbles on Stream

The gameplay of Marbles on Stream is fully revealed in multiplayer mode. When switching to multiplayer, the game begins to offer additional interesting "features". So, several multiplayer modes are available at once, including:

  • Race. Classic races on the tracks, developed directly by the creators of the game. In this mode, the built-in physics model is activated, due to which the balls actively respond to gravity and inertia;
  • Battle Royale. The balls collide with each other and thus try to send the opponent into a trap (or "kick" from the field). The last remaining wins;
  • Grad-pri. A series of several races - from 2 to 16 different tracks. The championship winners with the most points will receive first, second and third places;
  • Tilt. In this mode, you need to move back and forth directly to the map itself. After tilting, the balls rush in the direction that turned out to be lower. The player's task is to bring as many pearls to the finish line as possible.

In the "Tilt" mode, the number of levels is not limited by anything. New tracks are generated procedurally, thanks to which you can play indefinitely - and at the same time, you will not be able to meet two identical tracks-locations.

In addition, you can activate the "map designer" mode. In it, the player gets his hands on the tools for creating tracks - the environment, elements, 3D models and much more. The constructed levels can then be uploaded to the Marbles on Stream store for other players to try out.

Mobile Companion Marbles on Stream

The Marbles on Stream game itself is distributed exclusively through the Steam online store, which is due to the integration with both the interfaces of this marketplace and the API of the Twitch streaming service.

However, the game has a companion mobile application called Marbles on Stream Mobile. It will not work to roll balls through it - it is intended for other purposes. Through this companion app, you can change the look of your balloon, add special effects like arrival and arrival animations to the finish line, and check the global leaderboard and your position in it.

The application has a small in-game store where you can buy various skins and special effects. You can buy them both for real money and for special glasses. Bonus points are awarded automatically when you play Marbles on Stream regularly. So donation is exclusively optional and not mandatory - it simply changes the appearance of objects, and not their characteristics or capabilities.

The app is also integrated with the Twitch service.
